Grandma Rosie's

Last night we hung out at Rosannes. Adam, Kelly, Payton, Justice, Jason, Heather, Tom & Rosanne and us of course all ate and played with Adam and Kelly's new Wii game. They all loved it. It was also Heather's birthday and Jason is leaving for Texas soon so when ever we can all get together we do.

2007 in Review

I can't believe that tomorrow ends the year of 2007. We've had an exciting year and many more to come now with the birth of our daughter.

I was thinking back last night to what the year had brought us.

  • In March we found out that Aaron would be out of a job come the end of March. Ford was re-negotiating their contract with Aaron's company.
  • March 20th we also found out that we were pregnant. After 7 months of trying we were finally successful. I thought that if God wanted to bless us with this child that Aaron's job would work out.
  • They re-signed with Aaron's company and he was good until December 31st.
  • On April 1st we moved Chuck to his new apartment in Findlay. He and a few friends were going to try the bachelor pad out.
  • April 8th - A snowy Easter day.... we had to hunt for Eggs in the shop. Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!
  • On April 11th the twins turned 6 years old. I can't believe it. I still remember visiting Robin in the hospital after she had them.
  • April 17th we saw Baby Gus for the first time... a little worm wiggling around with a strong heartbeat.
  • May Aaron interviewed and test for Pro-Tec. A couple miles from our house we couldn't beat the opportunity. They opted not to hire Aaron and we were then focussed on the Poet Ethanol Plant.
  • On June 16th we were able to see our baby's profile for the first time. No longer a wiggling worm, the baby had grown to 1.6 pounds and had a strong heartbeat. We opted not to find out what the sex was.
  • August 1st I start to feel Baby Gus kick on the inside.... an odd feeling that makes you stop in your tracks just to enjoy it.
  • August 5th I feel Baby Gus on the outside for the first time.... at 9:15 pm exactly. (I journaled)
  • August brought floods to Ottawa and Findlay.
  • August 30th Travis turned 23 and I just couldn't believe that either. I remember pushing him up and down the sidewalk on his push car.
  • September brought the baby shower which was a huge success and all the people I love came or sent something for the baby. And also on the 13th my hubby turned the big 27!!
  • September also brought our Mangas family trip to Gatlinburg and it was so nice and relaxing.... we all enjoyed ourselves.
  • October 16th - I a fingertip dilated!! Getting closer.
  • October 29th - Our 2nd Anniversary. Amazing how time flies by.
  • October 30th was our final ultrasound of Baby Gus... .snug as could be inside me and guessed at 8lbs 4 oz.
  • October 31st - Padre turns 51. Old fart!! ha ha!!
  • November 6th was get scheduled to be induced at Bluffton hospital for November 16th. I was so nervous that day.... rumbly stomach.
  • November 9th - Aaron interviews at Poet.
  • November 16th we were induced. 6 am started, 10:40 am 2 cm, 11:15 am broke my water, 12:40 pm almost 4 cm, 2:35 6 cm, 7:00 pm 7 cm, 8:40 pm 8 cm, 10:00 8 cm
  • November 16th via an email Aaron is offered a job at Poet Ethanol and accepts.
  • November 17th - 12:40 am 8 cm, 1:30 am still 8 cm, 4:08 am
  • Olivia is born via C-Section on November 17th
  • December 10th was Aaron's first day at Poet... and loves it so far!
  • December 14th my big sister Robin turns the big 30!!!
  • December 19th Nana Mangas turned 48... maybe in 2009 we can do the Vegas trip whens he turns the big 50!!!
  • December 31st - the end of an eventful year. Jason leaves for Kuwait again in 2008 and we start a new year as a family, not just a couple.

My new years resolution... never take a single day for granted. Whats yours?

Robin's Eye

Robin has an eye for pictures. Here are some pics she took at Christmas at Mom & Dads and I just love them. My favorite is all 3 of us looking at the Glow Worm Chuck got her... just an awesome picture. I am soo looking forward to her taking Olivia's 3 month pictures. I have 2 outfits already picked out. I can't wait!!!

Crib

Last night was our first night attempting Olivia sleeping in her crib in her bedroom. She slept from 9:00 pm to 4:30 am. It was soo nice. I did get up just a couple of times and check on her through the night but she was soo adorable sleeping in her crib.

We went to Aunt Robin's last night and Robin still has the touch. Robin rocked her and Olivia was out.... sleeping with her mouth open and just so comfy. She then woke for a while and was just talking and talking and then she was out again. Might have to go to Robin's more often... ha ha!!!

Tuff Stuff

My sister informs me yesterday that Hunter wanted wifebeaters for Christmas.... he was wearing one under his sweatshirt yesterday..... he is starting to fill out. He is soo cute in this picture. Really shows his personality.

Plum Crazy

Here is Miss Olivia in this adorable outfit that a friend, Libby, from work got her. She looks so cute in Purple. She is starting to stare at things more.... I think she is starting to see things.

Labor & Delivery

START AT THE BOTTOM.... I UPLOADED THESE WRONG... HA HA!!

This is Aaron showing Olivia to me for the first time. Sadly I don't remember this time. I was so out of it... that it still makes me cry to this day. I wish I didn't miss out on her first cry, Aaron's first time seeing her and my first time meeting my own daughter. I do cherish every moment with her... maybe even more because of what I missed. But after 22 hours of labor and a C-section she is soo worth every minute of it.

My two coaches...Dr. Schutz and Aaron. I love my Dr. and he was soo awesome throughout the entire day. Even after 22 hours of labor and a C-section he is still my favorite... ha ha!!

The star of the day.... Olivia Rose

Miss Olivia getting checked out.

Daddy holding his daughter for the first time.

Here is Aaron waiting on someone to tell him what is going on. I was put under and so he was not able to be in the room with me. He waited out here patiently and then the nurse came out and tol dhim that he had a baby girl.... tears of happiness rolled down his cheek and he said "she worked hard she deserves a daughter".

Sorry this had taken nearly 6 weeks to post, but here are pictures from when Olivia was born. Now that I have this new pc I am able to upload faster.

Enjoy :)

More Christmas Eve Pictures

Chillin' with Grandma Rosie

Finally a picture of Miss Olivia with her Grandma Rosie. We went to her house later Christmas day and dropped of some cookies for her and Grandpa Tom to enjoy. Olivia chilled out and stretched out for a good 1/2 hour while Rosanne and I talked and Grandma Rosie just enjoyed time with her new granddaughter. I am sure Rosanne will teach Olivia crafts and so many handy things to do around the house when she gets older. They'll be best of friends.

Christmas as a FAMILY!!!

Here we are Christmas day... my date on my camera was wrong. But Aaron and I woke up Christmas day and I had made a home made cinnamon roll and we ate and drank coffee. She napped. I put her in her Christmas outfit and she looked absolutely adorable.

Aaron kept telling me that he didn't have time to get me anything.... so he started to open the gifts I got him and he loved them all. One of them was this hat that he loved!!! Well then Aaron says that he was going to put on some jogging pants and when he came out of the bedroom he had this huge box with a big bow on it. He said that him and Olivia did some shopping and thought that since I was such a good wife and mother that I deserved something really nice.

I was shocked because I really thought he didn't get me anything. I was okay with it too... because I had Olivia and have had a wonderful time with her.

I started to open it and it was a NEW COMPUTER!! I was so shocked and excited. Our old one was going bad... the monitor was soo dark, the mouse barely worked and certain keys on the keyboard no longer worked. I am blogging on the new one right now. It is so nice to be able to type and upload pictures.

Aaron did a good job this year.... and I so appreciate it. I feel that we have been walking zombies somedays and barely talk to eachother or give eachother kisses... but it is starting to get better.... I feel that we are starting to understand her schedule and actually feel that I kn ow what I am doing sometimes. ha ah!!

Christmas Eve @ Nana & Papa's

Christmas Eve was full of good food and lots of presents. Santa even stopped by and Olivia got her picture with him... and of course she is crying... ha ha!!! The boys liked the jackets I made them, and of course they were huge on them... but Ryley assured me that he was okay with it... ha ha!!! Hopefully next year they can wear them when they go hunting with Uncle Aaron.

Olivia wore her Santa suit and looked adorable. I think there was too much action and she was super tired that we ended up leaving with a pissed off baby. Everyone understood... and all the gifts were opened and all were getting tired anyway. My mom and dad do such a good job at Christmas.... she always thinks of things that I woudl never.

Olivia got lots of clothes, a glow worm, a cabbage patch doll, a diva coat..... and lots of little toys. She was surely a good girl in Santa's eyes.
