Saturday we did Cookies with Santa at the high school. It was put on the Area Chamber of Commerce. They had 3 stations... cookie decorating, craft table and then visiting with Santa. My mom came with Olivia and I and then Jess and Paige met us there. It started out good. The girls got a goody bag with candy, some trinkets and a small teddy bear. Santa was running 10-15 minutes late and so when he finally arrived, I kept saying "Look Olivia it's Santa!". She would say "Santa" and smile. I thought to myself, she might actually sit on his lap. We were first to the craft table according to our ticket number. I helped Olivia make a Snowflake ornament. She actually did really good putting the beads on the pipe cleaners. We gave our ornament to Nana to put on her tree since she came with us. We then were next to visit with Santa. We stood behind Jess & Paige. As Jess walked closer to Santa, Paige looked a little scared and worried. Of course Jess had to sit with Paige and Santa... thank God mom was there, she got our pics with Santa. Santa gave Paige a present and they were on their way. Olivia was next and as I walked closer she got stiff and kept trying to move back in my arms. I had to sit with her too but once again Nana got our pics. Santa gave her a present and then as we walked away Olivia turned around and said "Bye".... ha ha!! Next we opened gifts... the girls got an Elmo book and small plush Elmo. Perfect for them! Next we were to go to the cookie table. Olivia took all the frosting off her cookie, Paige ate hers and Nana and Jess did their own. It was a good time and I am anxious to see what next year brings for the girls.... and every year after to compare. Afterwards we went to Nanas and baked, baked, baked, baked cookies! We were there until 4 pm baking sugar cookies, peanut butter sandwich cookies, Dirty Snowballs, Santa surprise cookies, and Chocolate Mint cookies..... they all turned out so good!
