What Happens When You Drink "Apple Pie"?

Need I say more?

Monday

As you can tell this is the day the boys stayed in the hot tub. They drank beer and "Apple Pie". It has everclear in it. So that gives you an idea of what condition they were in when we got back to the cabin after the outlet malls.

The Hot Tub!

The twins used the hot tub for more of a swimming pool. They enjoyed it and Nana & Papa enjoyed the beautiful views from our 3 balconies.

Hangin @ the Cabin

The pool table was a big hit for the guys and the twins. I would play, but absolutely suck at it!! This was in the basement, and Robin, Chris, Ryley & Hunter slept down here. There was a full bedroom, huge bathroom, and fold out couches.

Back Home

We are back home safe and sound, and lovin it! I would post pics, but our computer is in a temporary spot since we got carpet laid in our pc room. I will have tons of pics to post soon... I promise.

I am officially into my 8th month of pregnancy and 2 months from today is my due date! If we knew what we were having I could have went hog wild on clothes down in Gatlinburg. Carters and Osh Gosh outlets were to die for! Lucky for us we don't know and saved ourselves hundreds of dollars.

Sunday we arrived around 2:30 pm and unloaed and got comfy. Mom & Dad made spaghetti and we just took it easy that night... since we had been up since 3 am.

Monday came, a bear greeted us around 9 am while doing breakfast dishes! It was soo awesome. My camera was upstairs but Robin got some great pics. Us girls went to the outlet mall and to the scrapbook gallery. The men got drunk... it was hilarious and annoying at the same time. You know how it is when you are sober and they are drunk... ya! Robin and Chris made their meal that night, chicken, steak, baked potato, and beans. Oh and delicous cheese cake! We played texas hold'em that night.

Tuesday came and we did downtown Gatlinburg, The Chimneys (Awesome!) and Cades Cove (SUCKED!). The drive was soo curvy and you could only go 30 mph max and it was 24 miles from Gatlinburg.... Robin & Hunter got car sick, literally, and mom did when we got home. At least we can say we tried. ha aha!! We had done Hard Rock Cafe that day, which I think is over rated and then we had hot cheese dip to snack on that night. We watched this bear movie too.

Wednesday came, Robin, Chris & the boys went to this dinasour museum, we did the Old Mill. I loved that place, they had pottery, candy, toys, foods, kitchen stuff, patterns, etc. I did buy some stuff there. I bought a cheesecake mix, biscuit mix, and dip mix. I got a catelog, we might do this stuff for xmas gifts. That night Aaron and I cooked, pork loin, corn, and homemade max & Cheese. We then played monopoly, and another bear greeted us at the window. I did get some pics of this one, but it was had alreayd started to get dark and couldn't get great pics. This one looked smaller than the one on Monday.

And of course Thursday came, packed up and on the road by 9:30 am. Check out was 10 and we were home by 6 pm. All I wanted was a greasy pizza... so we ordered one last night. It was great!! It was nice to sleep in my own bed and wake up at 8:30, instead of 7 am.

It was a nice relaxing trip and glad we did it again. Aaron and I are not sure we'll do it again next year with the baby and I think we might do our own trip come next fall. We'll see. Travis wants us all to go to Vegas in 2009... and once again we'll see!

Off to laundry and relaxation. I had cleaned my house before we left... I can enjoy my last few days of vacation.

27! Old Fart!~

Tomorrow is Aaron's birthday. He turns the big 27! 3 years and we are getting the party bus and having a good time!!
He has informed me not to get him anything. I hate it but his ideas are very expensive, and with the baby, Gatlinburg and the house, money is tight.
I might bring home chinese tomorrow for us to enjoy and make him a cake. White on white! Yummy!
Happy Birthday Beefcake, Momma & Gus Love You!!

A Success!

Yesterday was my Baby Shower!! Sweet Pea was the theme, and Robin did such a cute job at decorating and planning the shower. Everyone was telling her she should plan parties.

We had a fruit tray, veggie tray and Aaron made a Meat & Cheese Tray. Robin's inlaw made the cake... spice and white, delicous! And plenty to drink.

I think I had a great turn out. Mom, Robin, Ryley, Hunter, Renee, Kathy, Shari, Jill M., Taylor, Brooke, Diane, Dani, Janet, Jill S., Melissa, Maranda, Amy, Jess, Breana, Steph, Saleigha, Miya, Barb, Kellie, Elan, Heather, Rosanne, Max, Mary, Nancy, Patty, & Danielle. And they all brought diapers, and then even those who couldn't come brought gifts and diapers.... lets just say we have plenty of diapers and wipes for a while. It was nice because Robin specified what size for them to bring that way I didn't get 30 packs of size 1. It all worked out great!!

We first did the baby food game, and Barb, Kellie, Maranda, Amy & Melissa won. I got the baby bath and all the accessories to go with it for the prize. It was a huge bag.

We then ate, chit chatted and then opened gifts. I was soo overwhelming, everyone was soo nice and thoughtful. My friend Heather made me this bear in a bee costume cross stitch. It was soo darn cute and thoughtful of her. Elan did Build A Bear. I think that was a cute idea as well.

So many cute outfits, socks, toys, and accessories for the nursery.

My Mom got us our pack-n-play, rug for the nursery, a huge box full of outfits, moniter, bouncy seat, you name it, it was in there. It was the never ending box. I loved it all.

My Sister got us our Bee Bedding...WOO HOOO!! Aaron and I love it! Also these flippin cute outfits, one for a boy, cowboy themed, and one for a girl, violet diva outfit... sooo soo cute. I'll take pics and post later. She also got me one my baskets filled with toys, and my bee mobile. So darn cute!

The bedding matches our wall color... and we didn't even go off of anything. We just picked.

The nursery is all together and hopefully organized enough for when the baby comes we can find everything. We'll soon find out, in like 9 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was so nice to see friends I haven't seen in like forever, Elan, Amy, Jess, Heather Kuhlman, Maranda, and New Mommy Melissa!

There were some that didn't show that makes you wonder, but what can you do? I guess those that you mean the most to will make the attempt. I understand that things to come up, don't get me wrong! I appreciate everything so much!

Yesterday was grandparents day and I made my mom and dad a card, and I made Rosannes, but Aaron typed the message. I am anxious to hear what they thought. They were from the heart, and when typing mine I was a crying mess.

I also made Robin a thank you card as well... she pried laugh at it because her creativity soars over mine. I meant every word in that card!!

I started to cry at my shower when I read my sisters card.... I realized that I have been an Aunt to her boys for 6 years now. This is new to her... and I realized that I am giving her a gift that she has never received yet. This never ending love from this little person. When I look at her boys I am overwhelmed with emotions.... their words, facial expressions, actions, and most of all their looks. So much is Robin. I am excited for her to see the same thing when she looks into my childs eyes and holds them for the first time. ughhhhh my eyes are watering... guhhhhh

Last night Hunter was asking Robin "Will we babysit the baby?". And Robin said "sure will you help?". And Hunter shook his head fast. He is always asking me questions about the baby and wanting to know how much longer. Ryley is shy and stays back. He'll come around I am sure. Hunter was also playing with our stroller in the nursery and I asked him if he was ready to take the baby for walks... and of course he was ready to be Mr. Helper!

Ryley was my helper in organizing the nursery. I showed him where certain things go and he did a great job at helping me put things away. He was in charge of toys, bibs, and helping me hang clothes. He also helped decorate the one end table... I smile when I look at it. He'd keep moving one picture from one side to the other, and back again.... so darn cute!

After the shower we ate Bombshelter Pizza, and of course more cake! Elan stopped over to check out the nursery and of course I tried to rub the baby off on her.... Sean is still holding his ground and she'd like to wait for them to come back to L-town. Maybe our next she'll be having her first! Like 2-3 years!!

It was nice to have this wonderful show of love, friendship, and compassion yesterday. I would love to be able to tell everyone how thankful I am, but my thank you cards do not have that much room on them.

Thank you again, and god bless!!

30 Weeks again...

The light is visible at the end of the tunnel! Your oversized self and amazing growing baby have finally reached the single digits (in terms of weeks till birth)! The fine lanugo hair that has been growing all over their little monkey-like body is going to start falling off this week in preparation for the big day. But don’t be shocked if they’re hairier than you’d anticipated, some babies keep their lanugo until after birth. Still, it’s not any cause to be concerned as it will fall off eventually. No surprises here: your little porker is getting even cuter with increasingly pudgy arms and legs this week thanks to the ever-growing layers of subcutaneous fat. In terms of numbers, your baby should be weighing in at around 3 pounds 12 ounces (or more!) and be nearly 16 inches long.

And how's mom doing? On a very serious note: you should make sure to determine both you and your baby’s blood type. It’s extremely important for everyone. In the case that you and your maturing babe’s blood types don’t match there’s a chance you could produce antibodies that could potentially attack and harm a future the drama you’re feeling is largely a result of increased adrenaline thanks indirectly to hormonal swings—not because things really are that dramatic and merit adult temper tantrums fetus. It is rare, but with modern medicine, the problem is easily corrected and little cause for concern if dealt with properly.

As for the ongoing joys of being in your third trimester: your not-so-fun symptoms are just intensifying this week, so it might not hurt to slow down a bit and focus on yourself. If you’re feeling extra fatigued, you’ve probably joined the sleeping shouldn’t be this tough when I’m this tired club, especially if you’re experiencing a lot of back pain and general discomfort. If you’ve been pushing the exercise thing, then this is the time perhaps to cut down on the physical activities and focus more on getting proper sleep (if this means buying a pregnancy pillow, then do it!). Oh and all that moodiness? Just go with the flow emotionally. This doesn't mean letting the hormones win and becoming a complete psychotic. Instead, feel the feelings, but know that the drama you’re feeling is largely a result of increased adrenaline thanks indirectly to hormonal swings—not because things really are that dramatic and merit adult temper tantrums. The clincher symptom for this week: it’s highly likely your libido has gone on sabbatical. This, as far as we’re concerned, is perfectly natural in your condition.

30 Weeks, Whats Going On In There?

My Baby

This week, your baby has come to his senses -- literally! He can now taste, touch, hear, smell, and see everything going on around him. If you tap on your belly, for instance, he may kick or poke back at the same spot you touched. So neat -- you can play with your baby well before he's born! When he kicks, try rubbing your tummy and talking softly or singing -- you might just find that it calms him down.

Right now, your baby continues to practice breathing by moving his diaphragm in a rhythmic pattern. Of course, it's amniotic fluid (not air) that's flowing in and out of his lungs, but it's good practice for the real thing. Gaining about a half-pound every week for the next seven weeks, your baby's continuing to bulk up as layers of protective fat appear under his soft skin -- creating that adorably plump, cherubic look.

Razzle Dazzle VDub Style

Robin took some pics of my Bug Sunday after the parade... look at the metalflake sparkle in the sun... awesome!! Her camera takes great pics. Thanks Sis!

Pregnant Photos

My sister did some belly shots for me on Monday. I didn't know exactly what she had in mind so I did not have my hair or makeup done. Please ignore my lovely stretch marks... I think they turned out great and would like to do more of Aaron and I full body kind of photos. Maybe after Gatlinburg. Here are some of my favorites.

Preparing for Baby Gus

Today Aaron primed the one wall in our nursery for painting. I had a checkerboard type painted effect on it before... it took me forever to do and I am sad to see it go. He was going to paint it today but got an offer for some extra cash to be made by helping out a family in Findlay. They house was hurt by the floods a couple weeks ago and Aaron is going to make decent money by helping removing the old and in with the new. Some extra spending money for Gatlinburg. I am proud that my husband isn't afraid to go out and do a little extra work that will make us some extra money. Yes I would like to see my nursery done, but he promises me he'll get it painted this week. I know Mom and Padre said they might come over and paint it for us today...we'll see. Who ever when ever, I can't wait to see it green! I appreciate all of our families help... it is sometimes overwhelming.

Last night was an emotional hormonal day. I feel that everything that needed to be done before the baby gets here is not getting done... I just had one of those days. I sometimes feel that we do things backwards or that the list keeps getting bigger and bigger and the bank account gets smaller and smaller... ughhhh I think everyone goes through that. Hopefully :)

Aaron almost has the front steps done and they look great!! We have carpet for one room and need my Uncle Rod to come measure for the other room. They are never home and it is hard to get a hold of them.

Last night was a night with little sleep. Aaron was called out 2x for a fire and both times I got up with him and helped with grabby his keys, cell phone, and opening up the garage door so he could go go go go!! We laughed this morning, thinking, if we coudl be a fly on the all when his pager goes off... ha ha ha!!
Off to finish cleaning. I have laundry, sweeping, and dusting to finish up on. Have a great Labor Day!!
And HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BRIAN AND JESS!! 1 year ago yesterday was your wedding day... boy does time fly by!

My Beetle Collage

3 day weekend!

After the parade, Aaron and I came home, I took a nap and he worked outside, making a home in our building for the bug to be stored. Mom, Dad, Ryley & Hunter went to the campgrounds to camp. They have a blast going with Nana & Papa camping!!
Robin had to work Monday, and Chris was working days this past weekend. I am hoping tonight Robin can take a few pics of me with my belly for my thank you cards for my shower on Sunday the 9th!!

Leipsic Car Parade

Yesterday was the car parade in Leipsic to celebrate it's 150th birthday. Saturday was the car show from 9 to 12 noon and I think 7 cars were in the show. They had face painting for kids, COSI, and so much more for kids to do... it was a nice day for it too.

Here are some pics from the parade that Aaron took. Hunter and I in my Bug and Ryley and Padre in his Chevy.
